Liatris spicata
The inflorescence looks like a long spike on a thick stalk (multiple spikes per plant). The small flowers, which start to flower from above, its purple color and the long and narrow green leaves.
The plant requires a sunny spot and is best suited in small groups together, but not more than 9 plants per square meter. Liatris spicata the likes moist but well drained soil.
